Miracle Room
This Miracle Room page is dedicated to the first year of the band when I was still in it. I highly suggest you visit Miracle Room dot com to see what the band blossomed into.
Miracle Room was the brain child of Mr. Stephen Marsh. It was created out of the ashes of Happy Dagger, losing the members John Hawkins, Tommy Hughes, and Kendal Smith. I joined Stephen and Ed Greer and Miracle Room was playing their first show within 2 weeks at the Beach. The band was named for the rehersal space, which got it's name when Stephen misunderstood Mykel Diaz talking about Nurse With Wounds. The space was truly a Miracle Room. It was located under the shoe department of Sears in Hancock Shopping Center. It was sublet form a jazzercise business. There'd be all these hot chicks working it to the latest disco whilst we were making industrial racket in this enormous cinder block closet. Crust was later born in this room. Most of the Polyp Explodes was recorded there. It was truly a magical place and it was a total drag when we lost it.
These songs were recorded in 1985 on a Tascam 34, 4 track reel to reel, under the lady's shoe dept. of Sears. They were mixed at the DeSoto lake house onto a Tandgberg 1/4 track reel to reel. From there they were reproduced onto cassette 100 at a time at Sound Recorders here in Austin. Somewhere along the way, Bobby Beeman, the bass player for Stickmen w/ Rayguns ended up with a copy. He graciously transferred it to CD and mailed me a copy where in I created these MP3 files.
